The day after

Up until last week my motto was, “There is chaos under heaven and the situation is excellent”, as long as you have discretionary cash to buy into a cheap market with.

But now we know who the next president will be. Chaos is reduced. It hasn’t vanished, but it has diminished.

The universe tends to disorder, chaos. So goes entropy. Order, construction, takes far more energy than destruction.

What does this mean for each of us? Dreams are closer because there is less disorder to wade through. Investing is easier because there is less uncertainty. Living is simpler because a journey is less likely to be interrupted by strong gusts brewed from tumult.

Markets will continue to fluctuate, but having dropped so far means that dreams can be fueled by potentials driven by bargains as they appreciate. Every change is good news for some and bad news for others, but at this point in history, economy and the markets, crowds will rise while scattered dramas fall.

Oh to have a few extra dollars to buy in now. “Don’t try to catch a falling knife” is a good caution, but I think the knife has fallen and it is time to pick up that useful tool by its handle and get to work carving out a wonderful future and a wonderful life.
